Dastaan. Your company's story, told every week.

My pick from the 30 names, after a conflict check of the shortlist: Firsthand (a funded AI marketing company) and Heard (two funded startups) are out, Awaaz is crowded in AI voice, and Foreword sounds like existing AI writing tools. Dastaan came back clear in software. It means an epic tale told in instalments, which is exactly what the product does, and it grows into the AI CMO story: the whole company's narrative, not just posts. It also sits next to Soch: Soch is the thinking, Dastaan is the story.

The idea in the wordmark

One signature move, and it carries the whole brand: the story never ends.

The line keeps goingThe final n doesn't stop. Its stroke runs on as a line, because a company's story is never finished; there is always another week.
The saffron dotWhere the line lands: the next chapter, this week's post. It is the one accent in the system, and it moves wherever something new is about to happen.
A warm serifYoung Serif reads as a storyteller, not a SaaS dashboard. Lowercase keeps it approachable; the indigo keeps it serious enough for investors.
Urdu as a second voiceداستان appears in the lockup, on merch and in launch moments, never as decoration on every screen. It is the origin, not a costume.

The marks

The wordmark, its reversed version, and the monogram: a serif d with the saffron dot tucked into its bowl, as if the next chapter is already being written.

How it talks

The name gives the brand a vocabulary: chapters, instalments, the next page. Lines to use:

Homepage headline

Monday notification

Every founder has a dastaan.

Launch campaign

Aap ki dastaan, aap ki zubaani.

Urdu launch line: "your story, in your own words" (formal Aap)

Before this is final

  1. Run a proper trademark search for "Dastaan" in the EU (EUIPO TMview), the UK (UKIPO) and the US (USPTO), in classes 9 and 42 (software) and 35 (marketing services). My check was a web search for conflicting companies, not a legal clearance.
  2. Buy the domains the same day you decide: dastaan.app, getdastaan.com and dastaanhq.com all had no DNS record on 5 October 2026. Also check the LinkedIn company URL, the X handle and the Instagram handle.
  3. Expect search competition: dastaan.com is registered, and "Dastaan" is used by restaurants, songs and South Asian media. Different industries, but you will not own the search results at first.
  4. Hand this page to a designer to finish the wordmark: the join between the n and its line, the spacing, and the monogram's dot position. The idea is set; the curves need a professional hand.
